1Quick1 wins in Riva del Garda the Grade 1 Dragon Italian Grand Prix
Riva del Garda – The Grade 1 Dragon Italian Grand Prix, an event organized by Fraglia Vela Riva in collaboration with the International Dragon Association which brought a fleet of almost forty boats arriving from ten nations to the Benaco regatta field.
The crew of the Swiss Wolf Waschkuhn, who raced with Chalers Nanking and Joao Vidinha, took advantage of the only race scheduled today to resolve the tie in their favor with the Swedes of Miss Behavior, led by the owner Jan Secher on the second step of the podium. Silly Billy of the German Vincent Hoesch finished third overall, having grabbed the provisional bronze at the end of the three tests yesterday.
The top five of the overall ranking was completed by the Germans from Aurora and the Swedes from Pilsener who, during the event, remained constantly in the top areas of the rankings.
Among the Italians, Yevgen Braslavets’ Transbunker Team finished thirteenth, while Marco Gerbaudo’s Dragondine finished seventeenth and second for Corinthian, beaten by the Germans of Goldkrank with Tania Jacobsohn at the helm. Right at the end, Guido Garrone’s Japetus regains a position, finishing thirty-fourth.
Having concluded the event reserved for the Dragons, Fraglia Vela Riva now looks to the next event in its competitive calendar: the first act of the M32 European Series, scheduled for the coming weekend.
