Fraglia Vela Riva and SLAM: a partnership between international sailing excellence is born
Riva del Garda – Fraglia Vela Riva, the only Italian yacht club to boast the President Development Award from World Sailing for the promotional activities carried out through the Lake Garda Opti Meeting, and SLAM, a leading sailing clothing brand, founded in Genoa in 1979 and today controlled by VAM Investment Group, announce the birth of a partnership which, for the next three years, will bring professionals and members of the Fraglia Vela Riva sailing team to wear the garments produced by the Ligurian company.
A collaboration that will officially take shape at the end of the month, on the occasion of the 42nd Lake Garda Opti Meeting, when SLAM, always a front-runner in the production of technical garments capable of synthesizing the best of research and today led by Enrico Chieffi, will be among the “animators” of the regatta village set up in the areas overlooking the headquarters of Fraglia Vela Riva, founded by Gabriele D’Annunzio in 1928, and the Palavela, the theater of post-regatta entertainment and the eagerly awaited awards ceremony scheduled for Easter day.
“With this collaboration, two Italian companies are united, unique for their reliability, resourcefulness and experience, which, having always operated at the highest levels, are today considered excellences of the international sailing movement. It is a partnership born from the shared vision of the future of our sport , the constant search for performance, sustainability and the promotion of sailing and its values at every level” commented the president of Fraglia Vela Riva, Andrea Camin.
“Boating requires concentration, the ability to manage complexity and effective communication with others, very important characteristics even in everyday life. Another positive factor is that sailing represents a stimulus to strengthen self-esteem in the younger generations. For this reason we feel the responsibility to do our best and support those like Fraglia Vela Riva who dedicate themselves excellently to the education of children through sailing”, this is the comment of Maurizio Priano, SLAM Brand Manager.
