Marco Aloisi (FVR) is the winner of the Youth Centenary Regatta-Trofeo Faccenda
Riva del Garda – After a day of forced rest due to the vagaries of the weather, the Youth Centenary Regatta-Trofeo Faccenda came to an end today with the dispute, for Gold and Silver Fleet, of the last three races. Regattas which certified the victory of Marco Aloisi, athlete of Fraglia Vela Riva, true star of the event which saw him as leader from the end of the first day.
Today, under a fresh and stable Peler regime, Aloisi limited himself to defending the important margin gained during the qualifications, without however failing to win the second test.
Mattia Cesare Valentini (CN Marina di Carrara) finished second, ten points behind the pacesetter, while Pietro Zanoni (Fraglia Vela Riva) completed the podium, twenty-five points behind the winner.
Quinn Klapper (MYC) finished in the top five, having prevailed head-to-head with Francesco Colotto (LNI La Spezia), fifth, two points behind the German sailor.
In the women’s field, Vittoria Berteotti (Fraglia Vela Riva) came out on top and, after finishing the qualifications in second place overall, struggled more than expected in the Gold Fleet, climbing to thirteenth place without losing the pink leadership. Second, with seven points and fifteenth overall, was the Hungarian Nadin Verebély while another Hungarian, Abigel Nemeth, finished third, finishing seventeenth overall.
The fourth edition of the Youth Centenary Regatta-Faccenda Trophy, which counted on the participation of over one hundred sailors representing ten Nations, closed with a well-attended awards ceremony.
Yesterday, taking advantage of the no-race day, Fraglia Vela Riva enlivened the afternoon of the participants thanks to the random draw of around sixty prizes offered by the Faccenda Naval Shipyard, including a complete hull which was won by the Austrian Lorenz Fenkart.
The next appointment with the major events organized by Fraglia Vela Riva is set for the Easter weekend (27-31 March) when, facing the buoys of the Riva association, the protagonists of the 42nd Garda Optimist Meeting, an event that has already It has over a thousand members.
