With one race to go, 1Quick1 and Miss Behavior are tied first

Riva del Garda, 3 May 2024 – During the third day, characterized by the expected presence of a listless but stable Ora, the Regatta Committee of the Grade 1 Dragon Italian Grand Prix completed three races, given that, on the eve of the grand final, leaves the fleet with only one race to sail.

A test that will undoubtedly be decisive, if we consider that the top of the ranking is currently occupied by 1Quick1 (today 4-10-1), the boat of the Swiss Wolf Waschkuhn, already winner of the 2023 World Championship and leader of the first hour here in Riva del Garda , which finds itself tied with Miss Behavior (2-1-13); the Swedish boat, led by Gerard Michell and Richard Sydenham, were excellent protagonists of the races held on the second and third day.

Occupying the third step of the provisional podium, seven points behind the leading pair, are the Germans of Silly Billy (11-3-4), Vincent Hoesch’s boat which, having climbed onto the provisional podium today, hopes to succeed to defend the five-point margin that separates it from the Pilsner Swedes (DNF-11-19), who slipped from first to fourth place by virtue of a subpar day. The top five is completed by Fever (5-24-11), 2022 world champion and excellent performer on the opening day.

The best of the Italians rises by two positions, Transbunker Team (8-19-5) of Yevgen Braslavets who goes from sixteenth to fourteenth place, while Dragondine (13-22-12) of Marco Gerbaudo is sixteenth, but first of the Corinthian where following him is the German Goldkrank, and Japetus (DNF-33-28) of Guido Garrone, owner of the thirty-fifth place.

The regattas valid for the Grade 1 Dragon Italian Grand Prix, an international event supported by Yanmar, which brought thirty-six crews representing five continents to Riva del Garda, will end tomorrow.
